Travelling Glissotar

Thank you for your interest in the Travelling Glissotar.

Many of you have reached out asking about the possibility of trying the Glissotar before making a purchase. We’ve listened and introduced several initiatives aimed at bringing the Glissotar closer to you. In addition to showcasing the instrument at musical instrument fairs, placing it in music shops around the world, and launching an ambassador program, we also launched the Travelling Glissotar Program in late 2023. The goal of the Traveling Glissotar is to visit locations where the Glissotar is not yet physically available, passing from musician to musician, and country to country to broaden its reach.

This program is specifically designed for seasoned musicians with years of experience in playing the saxophone or clarinet, who are likely to grasp the basics of the Glissotar quickly.

We hope you find this initiative useful. Here you can find all the details. We are sending a Glissotar Jam as part of the Travelling Glissotar program. Glissotar Jam is a 3D printed Glissotar. It has the same form and is exactly same in functionality as the wooden Glissotar. Its tone is slightly brighter, with more upper harmonics. Its material is robust against temperature or moisture anomalies. Before we send you the Glissotar, we will ask you to review and sign a Borrowing agreement. We could do this shortly before the instrument becomes available for shipment. The shipment to you would be free of charge. We would ask you though to ship it to the next participant of the program and take care of the cost of shipment too. We are hoping you to help us promote the instrument, while you have it. Here are a couple of ideas for promotion:

• take a picture with the Glissotar at a place that is iconic for your city – we intend to create a virtual album of the Glissotar’s travel around the world
• be available to present the Glissotar to musicians in the region, who are interested in taking a look at it
• publish at least 4 youtube audio or video recordings with Glissotar performances during the 2 months (this is one per two weeks) – more are welcome, of course
• inform your wind musician friends and acquaintances about Glissotar

If we succeed selling Glissotars via you, we offer you a 10% commission for the purchase from the price without VAT.

This 10% commission is valid as long as the instrument remains in your possession. We could either transfer this money to your account or we could deduct it from the overall price of the Glissotar you buy, if you decide to buy it. We would like to make sure that it brings good benefits both to the borrower and Glissonic so feedback is always welcome. We are experiencing massive interest in the program. Hence, we are lining up musicians on a first come first served basis. Wait times may take more 6 or more months.
