In 2024, we kept you updated on Glissonic’s progress through social posts, sharing news week by week and month by month. The beginning of a new year is a good moment to reflect on the past year, celebrate milestones, and appreciate the progress we’ve made as a community.
Key Highlights from 2024
2024 marked the first full year of operations for Glissonic Instruments since our official founding in late 2023. This milestone allowed us to focus on organized growth and accelerate the production and distribution of the Glissotar.
- Faster Production and Delivery: We reduced production and delivery times from 12 months to 6-8 months, resulting in over 50 new Glissotars being shipped to musicians worldwide.
- The Glissotar Jam: We launched the Glissotar Jam at the end of 2023, a more accessible version of the Glissotar, making it feasible for a broader audience to own. Your interest in purchasing it is confirming its value.
- Partnerships with Top Wind Instrument Stores: Collaborations with Sax London (UK) and Roberto’s Winds (New York, USA) have truly established these stores as Glissonic embassies. These partnerships, combined with the support of our wonderful Ambassadors, now enable musicians to try and purchase the Glissotar 4 continents already.
- The Travelling Glissotar Program: To meet the demand for trying the instrument before purchasing, we introduced this program. It allows musicians in regions without Ambassadors or embassies to borrow the Glissotar for two months. So far, musicians in Argentina, Chile, Australia, Norway, the EU, USA, and Canada have benefited.
- Academic Interest: We presented the Glissotar at eight prestigious musical institutions, including Berklee College of Music in Boston and Eastman School of Music in Rochester. These opportunities inspire hope that future generations of musicians will embrace the Glissotar as part of their repertoire.
- Exploring Historical Roots: In our quest to understand the origins of slide and strap woodwind instruments, we had the privilege of meeting Bart Hopkin and trying his Moe instruments, as well as exploring Paul Cohen’s remarkable saxophone collection. Our findings are now available on Glissonic’s History page.
While there are many other achievements, we’ve selected only the highlights to respect your time.

Looking Ahead
We remain steadfast in our mission: to make Glissonic features an integral part of woodwind instruments for generations to come.
As we anticipate another year of growth, we’re focusing on several key priorities:
- Scaling Up Production: To meet increasing demand, we’ve expanded our team of instrument makers. We expect this to significantly reduce wait times, with noticeable improvements by the end of Q1.
- Expanding Global Reach: We aim to bring the Glissotar to more world-class musicians, helping them discover its unique potential.
- Overcoming Distribution Challenges in Latin America: Latin America is so inspiring for us because of its rich and vibrant musical culture. However, high customs and income taxes remain a significant barrier. We welcome insights and advice from our community to help us navigate these challenges.
- Developing New Products: We’re excited to introduce the Glissonic Recorder, designed to make Glissonic’s innovations accessible to music education.
Thank you for your support, trust, and passion, which inspire us daily. Together, we’ve accomplished so much, and we can’t wait to see where 2025 takes us. Stay tuned for another year of discovery, growth, and music!
Warm wishes,
The Founders
